Rooms are named for and decorated by local wineries

Of the 20 rooms on the property, 15 have been decorated through a partnership with local wineries. These wineries have come in to sponsor a room, decorate it with wine themed decor, and pieces of the wineries history. It makes the rooms feel homey and luxurious at the same time.

You’ll also find additional wine from your hosted winery that you can purchase, often ones you can only get in the tasting room.

I was lucky enough to stay in the Blair Estate room. It included a beautiful landscape of the estate’s vineyard, wine cork filled lamps, and pictures depicting the wineries history.Take a wine tasting getaway to Carmel-By-The Sea in the Monterey Bay Area. Recently upgrade historic buildings

The hotel itself is a historic building that gives you a charming feel with all the modern amenities. You can take in the classic feel as you walk around the gardens that were recently redone.

At the same time, the rooms have every modern amenity you need. With the remodel the owners added top-end beds in each room, mine was more comfortable than my bed at home. The bathrooms are also updated with a great walk-in shower. On your wall, you’ll find a high-definition television that is perfect for enjoying a lazy morning in bed.

The property is the perfect balance of modern luxurious and a quaint exterior.Take a wine tasting getaway to Carmel-By-The Sea in the Monterey Bay Area. To add to your trip stay at the only wine-themed hotel in Carmel.

Sip on local wines in the garden

Along with the beautiful buildings, you’ll find the perfect garden to spend your afternoon or evening relaxing in. You’ll even find a pergola with a firepit underneath to enjoy a bottle of wine on even a cool evening.

On top of the ideal location to enjoy a bottle of wine, at the front desk you’ll find a wide selection of bottles you can purchase, all from local wineries. Not only can you get a good bottle on the property, you can get many you won’t find anywhere other than the tasting rooms.Take a wine tasting getaway to Carmel-By-The Sea in the Monterey Bay Area. Easy access to the Carmel Wine Walk and Carmel Valley Wineries

As the point of a wine country getaway is to explore the area’s wine, you’ll find that Vendange Carmel is only a short trip to both the Carmel Wine Walk and the Carmel Valley Wineries.

The Carmel Wine Walk is only a fifteen-minute walk or few minute drive from the hotel property. Here you can visit up to 9 tasting rooms in the downtown Carmel area. Not only is it a great way to wine taste without a driver it’s also a great deal. $65 for 9 tastings, a $90 value. I’d get one for every two people you have, that way you can each have four tastings and then split one! Or you can use a few on this visit and a few on your next trip. Don’t miss Galante Vineyards the original downtown tasting room and Silvestri Vineyards is another favorite.Take a wine tasting getaway to Carmel-By-The Sea in the Monterey Bay Area. Since Vendange is not far off the Pacific Coast Highway, it’s a quick drive into the Carmel Valley. Here you can not only taste delicious wines but walk through beautiful vineyards and ranch properties. If you don’t want to drive the Monterey County public transit can even drop you off at a wide variety of wineries along the valley or if you’d like to splurge you can book a personal tour.

You can even take a drive into the Carmel Valley Village and walk from the different tasting rooms. In this area, you’ll find more of Vendange’s partner wineries including Cowgirl Winery and Twisted Roots Vineyard.
