I wanted to end my trip in Bali with a few relaxing days on the beach. I’d been running around for two weeks and wanted to make sure to head home relaxed, little did I know I also had picked up the flu, but that didn’t stop me from relaxing in luxury while at Sakala Resort & Beach Club in Nusa Dua. From a room that felt more like a luxury apartment than a hotel to delicious food everywhere on the resort to the beach front pool, everything at the resort provides you the perfect setting you to relax.
On top of providing you a relaxing resort, Manta Sakala is located in a great location to explore the southern side of Bali. You’re tucked up in Nusa Dua but it is a short cab ride to Jimbaran or Kuta for the beaches, many of the temples and the airport making it a perfect places to start or end your time in Bali.
Note: Thank you to Sakala for hosting me during my stay. As always, all opinions remain my own. You’ll find affiliate links in this post which allow me to continue to improve Traveling Nine to Fiver. I hope this article is useful for you.
Luxurious Rooms to Relax In
When I arrived at Sakala I was hitting the point where all I wanted in my trip was to kick my heals up, enjoy a beautiful place and relax. That is exactly what I found when I walked into my room. The living room had a great table to enjoy your room service at, a comfortable couch and a patio to sit out on. The room had the most comfortable bed I’d enjoyed on my trip that made it hard to get out of in the mornings. The bathroom, often the most fun place in hotels, had a beautiful shower a tub to relax in.
Once I arrived I spent most of my first evening just enjoying the room itself, ordered room service, took a long bath, and curled up in one of their comfortable robes and read my book in bed.
Delicious Food From the Beach Club to Room Service
My first meal on the resort was ordering room service for a relaxing night in. I was impressed when I found that instead of offering a few select, often overpriced, items the menu was almost identical to the restaurant at the same cost. Whether it was Balinese food or some of their western offering you could order anything and get it at the same quality without leaving your room. Not yet realizing that my body was sick, but starting to feel some of the effects, this was the perfect way to get to enjoy what Sakala has to offer.
Most hotels include a breakfast with your room in Bali, but Mantra Sakala’s was by far the most impressive I enjoyed during my trip. From a full American breakfast to a traditional Balinese you had the choice of that and more, a full cheese plate and even crepes with all the fillings you could imagine.
Enjoy your lunch poolside at the Sakala Beach Club where you can either head over to a table or just enjoy a good meal at your lounge chair or even at the bar in the pool if that’s the best fit. For dinner, you can enjoy the Sakala Restaurant over by the beach and walk out to the sand or head up to the main restaurant.
Two Perfect Pools
At Sakala, you get the chance to enjoy two distinct pools on the property. The main pool is tucked in the middle of the resort where you can swim right up to the bar and enjoy a beverage or two, or relax in one of the in-water cabanas for an afternoon. It was a perfect place to relax when I first arrived at the resort as it was a toasty afternoon and both in the water and along the side of the pool there are great places to unwind in the shade.
Your other option at the resort is the Sakala Beach Club, which is basically the ideal resort pool. This infinity pool looks out over the beach of Nusa Dua. I spent a solid day relaxing here, enjoying a coconut, then lunch and then a cocktail. You can swim up to the in-water bar or servers will come by to make sure you have everything you need.
Tucked Within An Active Area & So Much More To Explore
On top of offering everything you need for a luxurious relaxing stay, Mantra Sakala is located right on the Nusa Dua peninsula where you can access countless activities in the water and beyond. Whether you want to hop on a jet ski, ride a banana boat, try scuba diving or more you can do it just footsteps off the resort.
Beyond the activities in Nusa Dua, you can take day trips all around the southern part of the island with so many tours that can pick you up directly from the hotel or even get a driver for the day to explore the island. Take a look at few of my favorite activities on the island that you shouldn’t miss.
Overall, my stay at Sakala provided me exactly what I needed, an opportunity to continue to enjoy the beauty that Bali has to offer while resting and relaxing in luxury on my last few days of my trip. Find out more on Mantra Sakala and other places to stay while you explore other regions of Bali.
