About Me

After beginning her career as a legislative staffer, Megan stumbled her way into Association Management and found the world she didn't know she was looking for. Now over a decade later, she has worked on just about every aspect of what makes up associations and non-profits.

Starting her association career at the California Building Industry Association she went on the work at Donate Life California, before joining the Advocacy & Management Group. Megan now serves as a Senior Association Executive working as Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director to national and state associations. 

​

In her role, she manages the top-to-bottom operations of her client organizations including teams running membership, programs, events, education, governance, accounting, and more. 

Additionally, Megan provides consulting services beyond her full-time clients providing guidance in strategic planning, leadership development, executive coaching, and more.

You’ll also find Megan speaking on topics from strategic planning and leadership to how associations must change to address the changing world.

Early in her association career, Megan realized as much as she loved her 9 to 5, she also had a passion for exploring the world and in 2014 created Traveling Nine to Fiver. A blog focused on travel for the full-time professional. She had the opportunity to work with brands and properties around the world and inspire young professionals to get out and travel.

Megan holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and became a Certified Association Executive in 2022. She earned her B.A. in History from the University of Redlands.
